PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system, with which a print data interpretation program can be used corresponding to a program language for describing print data to be inputted and with which it is not necessary to integrate a storage device for storing that print data interpretation program into an image forming device. SOLUTION: When the image forming device receives the print data, the program language expressing these print data is decided by a print data managing module 302. When a print data interpretation program 304 for interpreting the decided program language does not exist on a RAM 203 of the image forming device, the transmission of that print data interpretation program 304 is requested to a host computer 10. The solution of such a problem can be attained, by downloading the transmitted print data interpretation program 304 onto the RAM 203.
