PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality notifying device for an automatic vending machine capable of notifying abnormality contents in detail. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a function which receives the abnormality contents of a magnetic card 1 detected by a magnetic card reader 5 from a card abnormality notifying means 10 and displays an abnormality contents message corresponding to the abnormality contents of the card 1 on a vendor vision 4, a function which displays a communication abnormality message on the vision 4 when a communication abnormality notifying means 11 detects communication abnormality at a time when data transmission is started to a personal computer 8, and a function which displays an initialization abnormality message on the vision 4 unless an ID card slave unit 6 is initialized when an initialization abnormality notifying means 12 connects a magnetic card reader 5 and the unit 6 to the automatic vending machine main body 2 and a main controller 3.
