PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give improved bit loading to a multi-carrier communication channel in an environment where non-stationary noise exists. SOLUTION: Technology for identifying improved bit loading allocation for the multi-carrier communication channel is provided. In general, the bit loading of a sub-channel is equalized, by selectively increasing (completely or partially) the high bit load sub-channel until the equalization of a desired degree between the bit loading of the sub-channels is realized. The bit loading of the high bit load sub-channel is reduced on the other sub-channel and therefore the communication channel can validly drop sensitivity to non-stationary noise.
