PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strengthening method for enhancing the durability of a printing plate of a water developable solid printing plate resin for relief printing using a hydrophilic resin and a hydrophobic resin as components. SOLUTION: In the strengthening method, a hydrogen abstraction type photosensitizer and, optionally, a polyfunctional compound having a molecular weight of <=700 are carried on the surface of a water developable photosensitive solid printing plate resin comprising a hydrophilic resin, a hydrophobic resin, an unsaturated compound and a photopolymerization initiator and they are irradiated with active light to strengthen the resin. |
