PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image forming device equipped with an inexpensive and accurate developer amount detecting device capable of successively detecting the residual amount of the developer in a developer container based on the consumption of the developer all over the area from the time just after the developer is used to the time just before the developer is exhausted, and to provide a process cartridge, a developing device, a developer amount detecting system and the developer container. SOLUTION: This developer container E is provided with a 1st detecting member 20 having a measuring side electrode 20a in contact with the developer and a reference electrode 20b not in contact with the developer, and a 2nd detecting member 21 detecting the electrostatic capacity of space between a developer carrier 3 and the member 21. The developer amount is detected from the time when the developer is not used to the middle of using the developer by the member 20 and is detected from the middle is using the developer to the time just before the developer is exhausted by the member 21.
