The post (1) to panel (2) connection for a trellis fence has profiles mounted on the side faces of the posts. The profiles engage via one flange (4) with the horizontal wires (5) forming the main plane of the panel and via a second flange (6) on the horizontal wires (7) welded to the tips of the undulations of the trellis. The flanges contact the panels on two vertical lines which are slightly offset. Each profile has a third flange (8) connecting the other two to form a triangular cross section.
