PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for authenticating time when an encoded document that a computer can process is transferred via the computer network of the internet. SOLUTION: When the encoded document that the computer can process is transferred via the computer network of the internet, a server system supplying a mechanism for authenticating time is installed apart from two client systems of a transferring side and a receiving side. Thus, the time is authenticated so that the document to which specified time that a server issues is added is ciphered on the side where the document is transferred and the document is decoded and contents can be viewed by using present time that the server issues only when present time passes specified time on the side where the document is received.
