PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate steel plate for a welded can which is electric- resistance welded without need for being ground, excellent in weldability, and excellent in the paint adhesiveness and corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: A tin-plated layer of 400-900 mg/m2 per single side, a metal chromium layer of 30-110 mg/m2 per single side, and a hydrate oxide layer of the chromium of 3.0-30.0 mg/m2 in terms of metal chromium are formed on at least one side of the steel plate. An iron-tin alloy layer of >=0.05 mg/m2 in terms of metal tin may be formed under the tin-plated layer.
