Fragrance alcohol alkoxylate(s) (I), which have 1-100 ethoxy and propoxy units, are used as solubilizers in aqueous formulations. Fragrance alcohol alkoxylate(s) of formula (I), which have 1-100 ethoxy and propoxy groups, are used as solubilizers in aqueous formulations: R1>O-[CH(R2>)-CH(R2'>)-O-]n-R3> (I) R1>the fragrance alkyl group of a fragrance alcohol R1>OH; R2>, R2>' : hydrogen (H) in both cases or H in one case and methyl in the other; R3>H, 1-60 carbon (C) alkyl, -(C=O)-R3>' or R1>; R3>' : H or 1-60 C alkyl; n : 1-100.
