PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for manufacturing stator core for vehicle alternator is provided to reduce material loss and manufacturing procedures by forming the position hole through two stages. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a progressive mold including a position hole mold for forming position holes at both side surfaces of a material(1); the first blank mold(4) for forming a blank in a vertical direction at the material conveyed from the position hole mold; a side surface cutting mold(6) for cutting away both side surfaces of the material conveyed from the first blank mold; and the second blank mold(7) for producing a product by forming blanks at the upper end and lower end of the material conveyed from the side surface cutting mold. The position hole mold includes an upper position hole punch(3a) and a lower position hole punch(3a') so as to form three position holes at both sides of the material, respectively. The side surface cutting mold includes an upper side surface cutting punch(6a) and a lower side surface cutting punch(6a') so as to additionally form six position holes with an equal spacing among three position holes formed at both sides of the material. |
