The torque measuring device has a lever element (24) displaced from its neutral position when the electric motor (10) delivers a torque to an output shaft (12) and coupled via at least one tensioning spring (36,38) to at least one plate (32,34), with a position detector (40), e.g. a potentiometer or a switch, indicating the position of the lever element. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a motor output torque measuring method; (b) a medium transport system.
