The container holding section (25) is open on at least one side so that drink containers by a large standing surface (14) are clamped by a support (16) and holding fork (20) that is spring-loaded (36). The holding fork has a cantilever section (28) and retaining fork and mounting constructed so that the application of force on the container takes place above the pivot point (22) of the holding fork. An Independent claim is also included for a container holder arrangement in which two holders are assembled into an integrated unit.
