PURPOSE: An insulation made from mineral and production process are provided, which have no danger of fire and no environmental pollution. CONSTITUTION: The mineral which crystal element is less than 10-20%, water content is more than 10%, and Na2O content is more than 2%, is heated to 300-400deg.C for about 15minutes. The heated mineral is foamed instantaneously at 1000-1300deg.C for 5-10seconds and swelled 10-30 times. The swelled mineral is mixed with binder and then the mixture is pressed or extruded. The formed insulation is heat-treated at 100-200deg.C.
