PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an external preparation for therapy and prophylaxis of psoriasis by selecting a composition thereof, a compounding amount, a pharmaceutical preparation, or the like, for proving the external preparation having a new application to a medicine represented by a tinidazole having sulfonic group in nitroimidazole-based compounds. SOLUTION: This external preparation of a compound represented by formula 1 (wherein, R1 and R2 are each a straight or branched 1-6C lower alkyl which may be substituted; and (n) is an integer of 1-4 is found out to have therapeutic and prophylactic effects on psoriasis. Furthermore, it is found out that the preparation has effective therapeutic effects on the psoriasis even in a smaller amount [e.g. (1/10) to (1/20)] than an effective dose of a single agent of known medicines for dermatosis and is free from side effects as a composite agent by preparing the composite agent obtained by formulating the compound represented by formula 1 with the other known medicines for the dermatosis such as an adrenocortical hormonic agent and an antifungal agent.
