PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording element having a fast ink drying time and imparting good image quality. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording element wherein an image receiving layer containing an inorganic filler and coated particles consisting of a polymeric hard core material and a polymeric soft shell latex material is provided on a base material, the Tg of the polymeric hard core material is >60 deg.C and the Tg of the polymeric soft shell latex material is <20 deg.C and the inorganic filler is present in the image receiving layer in an amount of 50-95 mass %. |
