PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling an injection molding machine, capable of reducing fluctuations in the weight of an injection-molded article by employing the temperature of a heating cylinder as a control input to stabilize the density of a molten resin. SOLUTION: A means for measuring the density of the molten resin is provided and the temperature of the heating cylinder is discriminated on the basis of predetermined algorithm to control the temperature of the heating cylinder on the basis of the discrimination result and the measured density of the molten resin so as to allow fluctuations in the density of the molten resin to approach zero.
