PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehydrating method capable of obtaining the good water filtering property of the flocculated sludge formed by adding a high polymer flocculating agent and the good peeling property from a filter fabric after pressing when sludge is dehydrated by a belt press or a filter press. SOLUTION: Cationic polycondensate and/or diallylamine based (co)polymer are added and mixed to organic sludge, then the anionic water soluble polymer consisting of the polymer dispersion produced by a dispersion polymerization method under the presence of an ionic polymer dispersing agent in a salt aqueous solution is added, mixed and dehydrated by dehydrator.
