PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily, appropriately support an article with an article supporting device by moving an article supporting member arranged on the inside part of a lid according to the rotation to the lying down position of the lid so as to separate from an assembling object of a case whose opening is closed by the lid. SOLUTION: This article supporting device has a case 1 being assembled so as to longitudinally arrange the opening 10 within the assembling object K; the lid 2 assembled in the case so as to be capable of rotating from the standing position p closing the opening 10 to the lying down position Dw opening the opening 10; the article supporting member 3 in which one end of a lift arm 33 assembled on the inner surface part 21 of the lid 2 so as to be movable between both end parts is rotatably assembled and arranged on the inner surface side of the lid 2; and a linkage mechanism 4 separating the article supporting member 3 from the inner surface of the lid 2 according to the rotation toward the lying down position Dw of the lid 2 and rotating the lift arm 33 so as to move forward the opening 10 of the case 1.
