PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dressing material that has a high wear resistance, low staining property, high fibrous property, flexibility, adaptability to body shape and motion, high gas permeability and steam permeability, and shows no layer separability of a nonwoven fabric. SOLUTION: The dressing material comprises a microfilament nonwoven fabric with a unit area mass of 30 to 150 g/m2 and a tensile strength over 40 N/5 cm. The nonwoven fabric comprises a multicomponent continuous filament with a yarn number count of 1.5 to 5 dtex formed direct into a nonwoven fabric via melt spinning and drawing. The multicomponent continuous filament is, if necessary after pre-stabilization, solidified and stabilized via splitting into micro continuous filaments with at least 80% having a yarn number count of 0.01 to 1.0 dtex. |
