PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretch-wrap film packaging apparatus wherein the tip of the film extended over a packaging station is prevented from folding to improve a finished state of a package and an effective length of the film is prevented from shortening. SOLUTION: The invention relates to a stretch-wrap film packaging apparatus 2 for unrolling the film F from a film roll, holding both widthwise side rims of the film F by a pair of carrying belts 31, 32 for carrying to a packaging section, raising an object to be packaged from below the film F by an elevator mechanism to cover an upper surface of the object with the film F and folding ends of the film F onto a bottom of the object. A film transfer means 5 for inserting a tip F2 of the film between the pair of carrying belts 31, 32 is provided, wherein while the film transfer means 5 retreats from an advancing end position P3 to a retreat end position P2, a cutter 61 cuts the film F. The film transfer means 5 moves to the retreat end position P2 after the cutting.
