PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spot welding equipment with which reshaping and replacement of an electrode tip and the generation of defect are immediately detected thus the electrode tip is maintained and controlled in an appropriate state and an efficient welding work is performed. SOLUTION: The spot welding equipment 10 is provided with a welding vibration detection means which detects the vibration of at least one of the electrode tips 15a, 15b, 16a, and 16b, a detection means for the beginning time of melting of the members 14a and 14b to be welded which detects the time interval between the beginning of energizing and the beginning of melting by means of the vibration of the electrode tips, and a detection means for the time of reshaping of electrode tips which outputs an indication signal for reshaping the electrode tips when the beginning time of melting of the members to be welded corresponds to the time when the electrode tips are to be reshaped.
