The invention discloses a new kind of human excitatory amino acid transporter 12 and the polynucleotide encoding said polypeptide and a process for producing the polypeptide by recombinant methods. It also discloses the method of applying the polypeptide for the treatment of various kinds of diseases, such as mental and nervous disease, glutamic acid transportation disturbance, tumor, development disease, inflammation, immune disease, hemopathy, HIV infection. The antagonist of the polypeptide and therapeutic use of the same is also disclosed. In addition, it refers to the use of polynucleotide encoding said human excitatory amino acid transporter 12. |
