The invention discloses a new kind of human heat shock protein 15 and the polynucleotide encoding said polypeptide and a process for producing the polypeptide by recombinant methods. It also discloses the method of applying the polypeptide for the treatment of various kinds of diseases, such as apopylexia, neurodegeneration, epilepsia, trauma, Down syndrome. The polypeptide can be also used to treat different kinds of tumor, immune disease, hemopathy, growth disorder, inflammation and HIV infection. The antagonist of the polypeptide and therapeutic use of the same is also disclosed. In addition, it refers to the use of polynucleotide encoding said human heat shock protein 15. |
