PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create an information recording/reproducing medium suitable for discrimination, management or the like. SOLUTION: A program region 1a is provided on the first side 1 of the information recording/reproducing medium DSC for writing the usual information. A label region 2b and another program region 2a, on which information can be written, are provided on the second side 2 being the backside. Bibliographical items such as the company name of a disk manufacturer and a trademark can be mentioned in the region 2b by printing or the like. A recording layer is formed in the region 2a by using cyanine-based or diazo-based organic pigment and an image pattern can be optically recorded on the recording layer. In other words, a user can write the desired image pattern optically on the recording layer of the region 2a, can form the pattern called visible pit art and can conduct discrimination, management or the like of plural information recording/reproducing media. |
