<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly display a necessary portion of a still image without increasing the amount of data and to allow a receiver of the image to actively control the displayed image. SOLUTION: Image data 20 represent a still picture. Information 22 is related to partial pictures and includes a plurality of pieces of shape and location information defining the shapes and the locations of a plurality of partial pictures that are cut out from the still picture and a plurality of text data that explain each of the partial pictures. The data 20 and 22 are used as a set of file. When instructing information is inputted, display is made to distinguish partial pictures within the still picture being displayed using the image data of the displayed still picture on the basis of the information related to the partial pictures corresponding to the instructing information and the text data are displayed.</p> |
