The axial adjusting device has an adjusting disc (11) mounted rotatable but axially fixed in the housing, and a pressure disc (17) also held in the housing rotationally secured by anti-rotation means which can be released from the pressure disc. The anti rotation means comprise an axially movable bolt (20) which is aligned radially to the pressure disc and in a first position engages in pawls (19) on the circumference of the disc and in a second position moves radially out therefrom.
