PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Internet font server for access by an Internet browser. SOLUTION: The Internet-based font server (10) enables a browser (20) to display a text element in one of the languages written in ideogram and the like and browse a web page (30) over the Internet with the language. This server (10) is equipped with a database, consisting of web sites related for accessing by the browser (20) and ideogram fonts of various sizes and styles, a first means (31) for downloading the web page (30) to the server (10), a purser program (40) for converting the text of the web page (30) into a URL(uniform resource locator) address by identifying the text code of the ideogram in the web page (30) and replacing the identified text code with the URL, and a second means (46) which puts the converted web page back to the browser (20).
