PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for an alkaline battery made of a woven or nonwoven fabric of polyolefinic resin and having a high degree of affinity to electrolyte and impurity ion capturing ability for a long period which helps manufacture a highly productive battery with little self discharge property. SOLUTION: With the separator for the alkaline battery made of woven or nonwoven fabric of polyolefinic resin, sulfonate and carboxylate group are combined on the surface of the woven or nonwoven fabric. |
