PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeater and its feeding system that can inexpensively extend the transmission frequency toward higher frequencies of inexpensively extend the transmission line of a CATV system. SOLUTION: The CATV system of this invention is provided with one or more repeaters 40 operated by DC power just before consumers 50 and with a repeater 30 placed at the pre-stage of the uppermost stream of the repeater among the repeaters 40 and supplies the DC power. Thus, the newly placed repeaters 40 can be operated without the new provision of a power supply PS (AC). Amplifying a high frequency signal such as a BS broadcast radio wave by using the repeaters 40 can compensate the loss of the high frequency signal and easily transmit the signal to the consumers 50. Or this system can transmit the high frequency signal to the consumers 50 at a remoter place when the transmission of the higher frequency signal is not needed. That is, the system can extend the existing transmission line at a low cost.
