PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device which will give high visibility and strong impression to a receiver, by knowing that E-mail arrives and in what classification it is at the same time. SOLUTION: An E-mail arrival detecting function 10a of a control part 10 detects the arrival of E mail, an E-mail kind deciding function 10b decides the kind of the arrival E-mail, and a blinking pattern retrieving function 10c retrieves the blinking pattern corresponding to the decided kind of the E-mail from a blinking pattern retrieval table 13a, when previously contains kinds of E-mail and corresponding blinking patterns. A blinking pattern generation part 16 generates the blinking pattern, corresponding to the corresponding kind of the E-mail to make respective light-emitting elements A to C of a light- emitting element part 5 blink.
