PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a fuel cell device compact and to operate the fuel cell efficiently by moisturizing the electrolyte efficiently. SOLUTION: The fuel cell device 1 comprises a fuel cell FC having a unit cell UC composed of electrolyte membrane EM held by an anode A and a cathode C in between, a blower B as a cathode reaction gas supplying means for supplying air to the cathode of the fuel cell and a moisturizing shell 70 provided on the air supply line L6 connecting the blower B and the fuel cell FC. The moisturizing shell 70 is supplied with water which is vaporized by a heat exchanger 75 of a water supplied portion 20. By this arrangement, the steam for moisturizing the electrolyte membrane EM is supplied to the cathode C of the fuel cell FC together with air as a cathode reaction gas. |
