PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric bulb capable of easily conforming to the central axes of the filament and bulb with each other and of preventing the lowering of the light emission efficiency of a lamp. SOLUTION: A pair of lead-in wires 4, 5, sealed at a sealing part 8, are installed inside the bulb 8 which is provided with a blocking part 8a, a cylindrical part 8b and a sealed part 8c successively linked with each other. Wire connecting parts 4a, 5a are provide at the ends of the lead-in wires. The filament 1 is equipped with a pair of legs 1a, 1b at both ends which extend to the directions opposing to each other. Owing to these legs being supported by connecting wires respectively, the filament can be placed in the cylindrical part of the bulb. The paired legs for the filament are located on a center line B and the connecting wire parts of the lead-in wires are located on the lines paralleling to the filament center line opposing to each other thereon. The center lines of the filament and that of connecting wire parts are installed so as not to be on the same line.
