PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal recording and reproducing device 1 in which name information input operation performed hitherto never be made needless even when the name information input operation is not finished at the point of time at which reproduction of music of which name information is started to input by a user is finished. SOLUTION: This signal recording and reproducing device 1 is provided with a pickup circuit 11, a signal processing circuit 12, a loudspeaker 15 and a control circuit 24. The control circuit 24 starts reproduction from the beginning of the music when input finish operation is not performed by a user at the point of time at which reproduction of the music of which name information is started to input by a user is finished.
