PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optimum drive assembly of a display device by using a power supply oscillation method and a drive method for the same. SOLUTION: The plural power supplies of part of the plural power supplies of the display device consisting of the power supplies, a drive signal processing device, an output device for signal electrodes, an output device for scanning electrodes and a matrix electrode composed of the signal electrodes and the scanning electrodes are formed as DC power supplies having approximately the specified potential with the time and the plural power supplies of another part of the plural power supplies are formed as oscillation power supplies having the periods changing in the potential with respect to the time. The signal electrodes are driven by processing the DC power supplies to signal electrode drive waveforms by the output device for the signal electrodes and the scanning electrodes are driven by processing the oscillation power supplies and the DC power supplies to signal electrode drive waveforms by the output device for the scanning electrodes. The signals obtained from the DC power supplies are converted into the signals obtained from the oscillation power supplies by the constitution to insert at least one level shifter assembly to the fore stage of the drive signal processing circuit.
