Wall covering has decorative layer with raised pattern on backing layer stuck to wall

The wall covering (1) consists of a decorative layer (3) made e.g. from a synthetic resin with plaster filler to produce a raised pattern (9), applied to a backing layer (5) which is stuck to a wall (7). The backing layer can have acoustic or thermal insulation properties and be made from woven or non-woven, e.g. felted, natural fibres such as cellulose or cotton, or from synthetic fibres; it is substantially thicker than the decorative layer.
