<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron emission element capable of simultaneously realizing an improvement of an electron emission efficiency and a convergence of electron orbit and a high definition electron source and an image formation device therewith. SOLUTION: The element is arranged on a substrate and equipped with a high-voltage electrode 2 with a convex portion at a given region, an insulating layer 3 that is arranged on the high-voltage electrode 2 and positioned in the region except an upper region of the convex of the high-voltage electrode 2, and a low-voltage electrode 4 that has a distance 6 between the high-voltage electrode 2 to be positioned in a pair on the insulating layer 3 through the convex portion and is arranged on the insulating layer 3.</p> |
