<p>A high-pressure dome type compressor (1) capable of providing a stable performance, comprising a compressive element (3) and a DC motor with rare-earth magnet (5) driving the compressive element (3) stored in a casing (2), the motor (5) being disposed in a high-pressure part (6) heated and pressurized by exhaust gases, having a permanent magnet of rare-earth, iron, and boron base with a natural coercive force of 1.7 MA/ . m-1 or more on a rotor thereof, and providing a rated output of 1.9 kW or more, wherein an inverter (10) controls a current to the motor (5) so that the temperature of the motor (5) becomes a specified temperature or below and that an opposing magnetic field produced in the stator of the motor (5) becomes a specified intensity or below, whereby, because the rare-earth magnet of the motor is not heated to a high temperature and not exposed to an intense opposing magnetic field, the magnet is difficult to be demagnetized, and thus the performance of the motor (5) as well as that of the high-pressure dome type compressor (1) are stabilized.</p> |
