A third joined cable of at least bandwidth 2X (404, 40 3, 406 and 405, 403, 407) having four ends (422, 424, 425, 427) is then laid between the sites on the two landmasses with one end connecting to each landing site, and connecting at least bandwidth X to each landing site.
