PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both an acrylic adhesive for an optical film, not peeling at an interface between an adhesive layer and a liquid crystal cell even in an atmosphere of high temperature and humidity, having excellent heat resistance and humidity resistance and an optical film with the adhesive layer using the adhesive and to provide a liquid crystal display apparatus using the adhesive. SOLUTION: This adhesive for an optical film is characterized in that the adhesive is an adhesive composition comprising a (meth)acrylic acid alkyl ester- based polymer containing a carboxyl group in the molecule and a melamine resin at least partially in an unreacted state and has the ratio (N/C ratio) of a nitrogen element ratio to a carbon element ratio of a residue of an adherend of >=0.05 when the adhesive layer composed of the adhesive composition is peeled from the adherend under a specific condition.
