PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically change the operation of a measuring instrument according to the difference of a reagent to be supported on a disposable sensor chip and the difference of calibration curve correction for correcting an output value obtained, relating to the electrochemical measurement of a component in a liquid sample such as blood by attaching a disposable the sensor chip to the measuring instrument. SOLUTION: The sensor chip 1 has electrode terminals 5 and 6 formed in different positions depending on the difference of a calibration curve correcting method due to the differences of a reagent to be carried and a manufacturing lot. The measuring instrument 2 has connecting terminals 8, 9, 10 and 11 formed to correspond to the plural kinds of electrode forming positions of the sensor chip 1. The measuring instrument 2 identifies the kind of the sensor chip by changing switches 12, 13, 14 and 15 in sequence, and determining which of the connecting terminals will conduct.
