The automobile wheel has a Helmholtz resonator for reducing the noise provided during the wheel rotation, formed by at least one air chamber (2) provided by a hollow space (H) incorporated within the wheel or attached to it. The wheel may have a wheel rim which is formed separate to the wheel spokes, which are hollow for incorporation of a Helmholtz resonator within each spoke.
