PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal door member by solving problems in that it is difficult to satisfy both environmental problems and the heat insulation and it takes time for pouring a resin in a conventional method of pouring a foaming hard urethane resin in a conventional metal door. SOLUTION: Between a door face side member 2 and a door back side member 2', a heat insulating layer 6 comprising (1) a polymer binder layer containing hollow particles and/or closed cells by bubbles, (2) a fiber-based material laminated on the polymer binder layer in (1), (3) a material formed of the aerogel of silica or carbon, or (4) a vacuum-packaged heat insulating material.
