PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idling continuing device capable of preventing unnecessary current consumption of a battery without supplying current from a battery line to an ignition line even if a key switch is switched from a turning-on condition to a turning-off condition in a condition in which an engine is stopped. SOLUTION: In the idling continuing device 3 for supplying current from a battery line Lb to an ignition line Li when voltage of the ignition line Li falls below a threshold average, engine start detecting means (a ripple voltage detecting unit 33) for detecting whether the engine is started or not is disposed. When the key switch 2 is switched from the turning-on condition to the turning- off condition in a condition in which a start signal where the engine is started is outputted from the engine start detecting means, and voltage of the ignition line Li falls below the threshold average, current is supplied from the battery line Lb to the ignition line Li, and idling is continued for a prescribed time.
