PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a benzoxazine derivative excellent in antagonism to monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) receptor, and useful as prophylactics/remedies for arteriosclerosis, glomerulonephritis, nephrosclerosis, pulmonary hypertension, rheumatism, asthma, etc. SOLUTION: This benzoxazine derivative expressed by the general formula (1) [R1 is H or a lower alkyl; A is pheylene, a five- or six-membered divalent heterocyclic residue, of which the all may have a substituted group; R2 is H or a lower alkyl; Z is a lower alkyl, an aralkyl, a lower alkenyl, phenyl, a condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon, a heterocyclic, a condensed heterocyclic, an arylamino, a heteroarylamino, an alkoxy, an aralkyloxy, a condensed polycyclic hydrocarbonoxy, a heterocyclooxy or a heteroarylalkyl residue, of which the all may have a substituted group; (n) is 1-4; and (a) and (b) are each 0-1], its salt, and their solvates are used as medicaments.
