PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel having a lens frame advancing and retreating mechanism and capable of preventing a cam follower fit in a cam groove from being off the cam groove. SOLUTION: In this lens barrel, a two-group frame 22 is fit in the inner periphery part of a cam frame M11 turnably supported. The cam groove 11g is provided on the cam frame M11, and the shaft part 66d of the cam follower 66 is fixed on the frame 22. The cam follower 66 is attached in a state where its conical sliding surfaces 66a and 66b are fit in the groove 11g, and edge parts 66n and 66q abutting on the cam groove 11g are provided at the ends of the surfaces 66a and 66b. When external force acts on the cam follower 66 through the groove 11g at the time of driving the frame to advance/retreat, the edge parts 66n and 66q act to bite at the cam surface of the groove 11g so as to prevent the cam follower fit in the cam groove from being off the cam groove.
