PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transporting device for recording materials capable of stacking the recording materials in correct order without changing of the order of the recording materials. SOLUTION: The rising time at the start of a transporting belt of the transporting device for the recording materials having a discharging means for discharging plural sheets of the recording materials recorded with images in a parallel state and a transporting means to be started after the plural recording materials discharged from the discharging means are placed on the transporting belt is 1,000 to 10,000 mm/sec2. As a result, the transporting belt may be rapidly started and therefore the slip of the recording materials at the start of the transporting belt may be prevented.
