PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake system capable of sufficiently increasing wheel cylinder pressure even in a situation in which master cylinder pressure is not increased. SOLUTION: This brake system is provided with a pump 20 having the suction side connected to a master cylinder 15 and the discharge side connected to wheel cylinders 18, 19, and a hydraulic control valve 21 for controlling the differential pressure between brake fluid pressure on the master cylinder 15 side and brake fluid pressure on the discharge side of the pump 20 according to brake fluid pressure on the master cylinder 15 side. An opening and closing valve 61 is provided between the discharge side of the pump 20 and the hydraulic control valve 21, a differential pressure control valve 67 for controlling the differential pressure between both sides of the opening and closing valve 61 is provided in parallel with the opening and closing valve 61, and the wheel cylinder pressure on the discharge side of the pump 20 is made to liquid pressure obtained by adding controlled differential pressure of the differential pressure control valve 67 to controlled differential pressure of the liquid pressure control valve 21, in relation to master cylinder pressure.
