SOLUTION: The organic/inorganic composite for the optical waveguide includes (A) an organic compound having at least >=1 reactive functional groups, (B) a polymerizable organic metal compound, (C) a multifunctional organic metal compound capable of reacting with the organic compound (A) and the organic metal compound (B) and (D) a photosensitizer as indispensable components. The method for manufacturing the organic/inorganic composite optical waveguide includes a stage for manufacturing a precursor solution from the organic/inorganic composite material composition for the optical waveguide, a stage for molding the precursor solution a stage for forming the optical waveguide by Lithography method, and a stage for curing the optical waveguide molded at 20 to 400<= and manufactures the optical waveguide.
