PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for an optical waveguide which is effective in introducing light to a long distance from a substrate to a substrate or from a module to a module like optical packaging applications and on-vehicle LAN applications, is pliable, is simple, and is advantageous in terms of a cost and a method for manufacturing optical waveguide using the same. SOLUTION: The organic/inorganic composite for the optical waveguide includes (A) an organic compound having at least >=1 reactive functional groups, (B) a polymerizable organic metal compound, (C) a multifunctional organic metal compound capable of reacting with the organic compound (A) and the organic metal compound (B) and (D) a photosensitizer as indispensable components. The method for manufacturing the organic/inorganic composite optical waveguide includes a stage for manufacturing a precursor solution from the organic/inorganic composite material composition for the optical waveguide, a stage for molding the precursor solution a stage for forming the optical waveguide by Lithography method, and a stage for curing the optical waveguide molded at 20 to 400<= and manufactures the optical waveguide. |
