PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent rolling of a sill arranged on a foundation even if a horizontal swinging force is applied to a building. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of fixing a holdown metal fitting 5 to a column 3, making an upper end bolt part 4a of an anchor bolt 4 embedded in a foundation 1 protrude above a sill 2, fixing the sill 2 to the foundation 1 by fitting a washer 8 around the upper end bolt part 4a of the anchor bolt 4 and also making a nut 9 engaging therewith to thereby fasten the bolt part 4a onto an upper surface of the sill 2, and connecting a mounting part to the holdown fitting 5 to the upper end bolt part 4a of the bolt 4 by means of a connection member 6. With the fastening force of the washer 8 and the nut 9, the purpose is attained.
