PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity to exposure with a laser light source having 400-450 nm oscillation wavelength and good dot quality and independent of unevenness in dots. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material for scanning exposure contains a silver halide emulsion having its photosensitivity maximum in the wavelength range of 400-450 nm and has aγvalue of <=7 at a transmission density of 0.1-1.0 when exposed and developed.
